I care about peace, social justice, environmental sustainability, universal and free high-quality education from daycare through graduate school, racial and sexual equality, complete reproductive freedom, gay liberation and marriage equality, antisemitism and islamophobia, civil rights and civil liberties, pollution and climate change, a carbon price, science and reason, international development, fair trade not so-called free trade, comprehensive immigration reform, progressive taxation for individuals and corporations with special taxes for destructive goods and bads, eradication of poverty and homelessness, public health, single-payer universal healthcare including mental, physical, dental, and optometry, factory farms, animal welfare, whole foods plant-based eating, organic agriculture, GMO moratorium and labeling, farmers markets and CSAs, living wages, support for unions and worker control, cooperatives and collectives, public parks and playgrounds, libraries, protection of free speech and assembly, health, stricter safety standards, fairness, community, prison reform, marijuana and hemp legalization, meaningful gun reform, abolition of the death penalty, protection and expansion of Social Security and Medicare, abolition of corporate personhood and getting corporations out of politics, opportunity, expansive democracy, love, and more.
I support a safe, sustainable, educated, healthy, productive, prosperous, generous, inclusive, civilized, caring, compassionate, progressive, and democratic America.
I don't always like or support Democrats, and I have never been one, but I ALWAYS oppose Republicans. Even a seemingly kind, compassionate, moderate, reasonable Republican, if you could find one, would still caucus with the Republican Party, would support most Republican policies and nominees, would still likely fundraise with and for fellow Republicans, and would therefore support and strengthen this vile party. NEVER vote for Republicans! It only encourages them.
